Question 331156: John can run a certain course in 9 min and henry can run it in 6 min. If they start at opposite ends and run toward one another, how long will they run before they meet?
Answer by Tutorteddy.Com(12)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the distance covered be s units.
If both John and Henry meet after t min, then
s = (s/9)Xt + (s/6)Xt, s being the total distance.
=> 1 = t(1/9 + 1/6)
=> 1 = t(5/18)
=> t = 18/5 min
