Question 325675: 6(x+2)=5(x+4)solve for x =6x+12=5x+20 I forgot the next step
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6(x+2)=5(x+4)
6x+12=5x+20
Add -12 to both sides
6x+12-12=5x+20-12
6x=5x+8
Add -5x to both sides
6x-5x=5x-5x +8
x=8
