The equation to use is,
M=Mo.2^(-t/T)
where
Mo is the original mass
T is the half-life period
t is the time since the start of measuring
M is the mass at time t
You have,
Mo = 7500 gms
T = 50 yrs
t = 32 yrs
M = ?
Using the half-life eqn,
M = 7500*2^(-32/50)
M = 7500*2^(-0.64)
M = 7500*0.641713
M = 4812.85
M = 4813 gms
