Jeff leaves San Luis Obispo at 11:00am and averages 55 miles per hour on the drive, Carla leaves later at 1:00pm but averages 65 miles per hour. Which person arrives in Lake Tahoe first?
I need to know how to write the equation after that I think I can solve it problem.
Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
325/55 = 5.9 hours
325/65 = 5hours
Use 24-hour clock:
11+5.9=16.9
13+5=18
Hence, Carla arrives in Lake Tahoe first.
