Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In a recent year, the total sales at restaurant A were $50,000 more than at restaurant B. Total sales at the two stores were $550,000,000. What were the sales for the year at each store?
-------------------------------------
Let sales at B be "x"
Then sales at A = "x+50,000"
-----
Equation:
x + x + 50,000 = 550,000,000
---
2x = 549950000
x = $274975000
x + 50,000 = $275025000
