Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let james age be x
Joe will be x+10
after 8 years their ages will be
x+8 & x+10+8
3(x+8) = 2(x+18)
3x+24=2x+36

x=12 jame's age
joe's age = x+10 = 22
