x+y=14 or x=14-y
x=3y
Replace x with (14-y in the secomd equation & solve for y.
14-y=3y
-y-3y=-14
-4y=-14
y=-14/-4
y=-3.5 ans.
x=3*3.5
x=10.5 ans.
Proof:
10.5+3.5=14
14=14
