(75+4x)/(30+x)=2.75
75+4x=2.75(30+x)
75+4x=82.5+2.75x
4x-2.75x=82.5-75
1.25x=7.5
x=7.5/1.25
x=6 semister hours of As are needed.
Proof:
(30*2.5+4*6)/(30+6)=2.75
(75+24)/36=2.75
99/36=2.75
2.75=2.75
