Question 249803: A store mixes Kenyan coffee worth $11 per kilogram and German coffee worth $15 per kilogram. The mixture is to sell for $14 per kilogram. Find out how much of each should be used to make a 12 kilogram mixture
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We can't solve this because we don't know if the mixture is being sold at the same rate, for a profit or at a loss.
if we assume it is at the same rate, then it can be solved
11*x+15(12-x)=12*14
x will be the # of Kenyan coffee and 12-x= pounds of German
