Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+x+10)5=500
(2x+10)5=500
10x+50=500
10x=500-50
10x=450
x=450/45
x=45 mph. for the slower car.
45+10=55 mph. for the faster car.
Proof:
(45+55)5=500
100*5=500
500=500
