x - y = 4
2x^2 + 3y = 53
-----------------------
Substitute y = x-4 into the 2nd equation to solve for "x":
2x^2 + 3(x-4) = 53
2x^2 + 3x - 65 = 0
---
x = [-3 +- sqrt(9 - 4*2*-65)]/4
x = [-3 +- 23]/4
x = [-3 +23]/4 = 5
Then y = x+4 = 9

x = 5
y = 9
