x%2B2 = 2nd number, Twice the other number
Then, x%2B2x=24
3x=24 -----> cross%283%29x%2Fcross%283%29=cross%2824%298%2Fcross%283%29
x=8 ---------------------------> 1st number
2x=2%2A8=16 ---------------------> the other number
To check:
8%2B16=24
24=24
