Question 1188233: Two consecutive odd number are chosen so that one third of the smaller exceed one seventh of the larger by 6.find the numbers.
Answer by math_helper(2461)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

(1/3)n = (1/7)(n+2) + 6
n = 33, n+2 = 35
Check:
(1/3)n = (1/3)(33) = 11
and
(1/7)(n+2)+6 = (1/7)(35)+6 = 5+6 = 11 (ok)
