Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x price of burrito 0.06
y price of taco 0.17

5.00 x + 2.00 y = 19.50

2.00 x + 5.00 y = 22.50 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -5.00
Multiply (2) by 2.00
-25.00 x -10.00 y = -97.50
4.00 x 10.00 y = 45.00
Add the two equations
-21.00 x = -52.50
/ -21.00
x = 2.50
plug value of x in (1)
5.00 x + 2.00 y = 19.50
12.50 + 2.00 y = 19.50
2.00 y = 7.00
y = 3.50
Ans x = 2.50
y = 3.50
2.50 price of burrito
3.50 price of taco
