Question 1176726: One month Ivanna rented 4 movies and 8 video games for a total of$61 . The next month she rented 2 movies and 3 video games for a total of $24 . Find the rental cost for each movie and each video game.
Answer by princessBelle(3)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let m represent the price of movies.
Let v represent the price of video games.
(1)
(2) multiply this equation by 2
-----------------------------

now subtract both equations with each other
-----------------------------

Now that v is solved. Substitute v in either equation (1) or (2). I will use (2), but both should give you the same answer.

Therefore, the cost of video games is $6.50 and the cost of movies is $2.25.

Hope this helps, and you understand how to do these problems better!
