Let x be the number of adult tickets.


Then the number of the student tickets is 3x, according to the condition.


For the total tickets, you have this equation


    x + 3x = 372.


Simplify and find x


     4x    = 372

      x    = 372/4 = 93.


ANSWER.  93 adult tickets.


CHECK.   93 + 3*93 = 372, total tickets.   ! Correct !
