How many shirts must be sold to cover the initial investment ?

The cost of production is

    C(n) = 1179 + 4.75n dollars

where n is the number of t-shirts.



The revenue is

    R(n) = 7n  dollars.



The break point condition is

    C(n) = R(n),   or   1179 + 4.75n = 7n.



From this equation

    n =  = 524.


ANSWER.  524 t-shirts must be produced and sold.
