Question 1169697: Bill and his cousin Bella are picking apples in their grandparents' orchard. Bill has filled 10 baskets with apples and is filling them at a rate of 5 baskets per hour. Bella has 15 full baskets and will continue picking at 4 baskets per hour. Once the cousins get to the point where they have filled the same number of baskets, they will carry them to the barn and then eat lunch. How much fruit will they each have picked by then?

Bill is at 10+5x, starting now at t=0
Bella is at 14+4x
set them equal
10+5x=14+4x
x=4 hours form now.
Each will have picked 10+5(4)=30, and 14+4(4)=30 baskets.
