Question 1145663: Robert is working two summer jobs, making $10 per hour babysitting and making $25 per hour tutoring. In a given week, he can work no more than 10 total hours and must earn a minimum of $130. If Robert worked 4 hours tutoring, determine the minimum number of whole hours babysitting that he must work to meet his requirements. If there are no possible solutions, submit an empty answer.
Answer by thmei1(4)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
babysitting $10/hour
tutoring $25/hour
x hours worked <= 10 hours
x money earned >= $130
worked 4 hours tutoring = 4 hours * $25 = $100 earned
$130 needed - $100 earned = $30 needed
$30/ $10 hour babysitting = 3 hours
as for the number of hours, 4 hrs tutor + 3 hrs babysit = 7 hrs, 7 hours < 10 hours its within the requirements
Minimum # of hours babysitting = 3 hours
