Question 1129813: Show that x = 4 is a solution of the equation x + 7 – 8x/3 = 17/6 – 5x/8
Answer by math_helper(2461)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plug in x=4 on both sides and show the two sides have the same value:

LHS: 11-32/3 = 33/3 - 32/3 = 1/3
RHS: 17/6 - 20/8

I leave the work out of the RHS to you.
