twice as many flats of bedding plants as hanging baskets. If they do, their total revenue

The money equation is


    18x + 13*(2x) = 8800    dollars,   or


    18x + 26x = 8800,

    44x = 8800  ====>  x =  = 200.


They hope to sell 200 of  hanging baskets  and 2*200 = 400 flats of bedding plants.


Answer.  400 flats of bedding plants.
