Phil + Vijay  + Ernie = 190


P    + (P+14) + (P+8) = 190


3P + 22 = 190


3P = 190 - 22 = 168  ====>  P = 168/3 = 56.


Answer.  Phil has 56,  Vijay has  56+14 = 70,  Ernie has  56+8 = 64.


Check.   56 + 70 + 64 = 190.    ! Correct !
