Let one number be x
Let the second number be y
x=y+5 (eq. 1)
4x=3y+6 (eq. 2)
Sub eq. 1 into eq. 2
4(y+5)=3y+6
4y+20=3y+6
y=-14
Sub back into eq. 1
x=-14+5
x=-9
