Question 1089295: In a certain clothing store, 3 shirts and 5 ties costs $60 and 2 shirts and 3 ties costs $39
x = shirts y = ties
3x + 5y = 60
2x + 3y = 39
using the 5 steps and also using substitution and addition I did this
3x + 5y = 60
3(3x + 5y)= 60
9x + 15y = 60
Now I have to ADD THIS EQUATION INTO THE SECOND EQUATION and this is were I am stuck and also it doesn't look right what am I doing wrong?
