Let m = slope
So, m = -1/3
Let f(x) = y
When x = 9, y = 2 or simply the point (9, 2).
We have enough information to find b.
2 = (-1/3)9 + b
2 = -3 + b
2 + 3 = b
5 = b
We can now write the needed function.
Answer: f(x) = (-1/3)x + 5
We can also write the answer as
f(x) = (-x/3) + 5
Either way is correct.
