Explain how it is possible to write the linear function rule for a line by using the point and the rate of change given below.
(0, -6);m = 3/4
-----
If it is linear it has this form: y = mx + b
You are given, x = 0 , y = -6, m = 3/4
Solve for "b"
-6 = (3/4)0 + b
b = -6
--------
Ans:: y = (3/4)x -6
---------------------
