Question 1058524: What is the linear programming problem:
Maximize P=60x+50y.

⎪x+y≤80

⎪5x+10y≤560

⎪50x+20y≤1600

⎪x≥0

⎪y≥0

Use the simplex method to solve the problem. Use s, t, and u as your slack variables for the first, second, and third inequalities respectively. Use the final simplex tableau to identify the values below.
x =

y =
s =
t =
u =

P =

Honestly, I do not understand this question, because it was formulated OUTSIDE the logic.

If you don't know what is the LINEAR PROGRAMMING METHOD (as I can conclude from the question), then read your textbook.

If you, in opposite, DO know what is it, then you should formulate your question by another way:

"How to solve this linear programming problem?"

Do you feel the difference ?

In any case, look into my post under this link

I solved there another problem, but you can still understand the idea of the LINEAR PROGRAMMING METHOD from there.
