all I got so far is x+y=117 and x=y-59

s + h = 117,   ("s" for sodas, "h" for hot-dogs)
s - h =  59.

Add the two equations. You will get

2s = 117 + 59,

2s = 176  --->  s =  = 88.

Can you complete the solution from this point?
