Question 10452: How would i work out 5x-1=6-3x
Answer by askmemath(368) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x-1=6-3x
Bring all the terms containing x to 1 side and put the remaining terms on the other side.
However,when variable move from side to another, the sign changes
SO
5x+3x = 6+1 (Subtraction on 1 side becomes addition on the other)
8x = 7
x = 7/8
