Consider the function f(x) = x^3 and the function g(x) shown below. How will the graph of g(x) differ from the graph of f(x)?
g(x) =(1/3)f(x)=(1/3)x^3

g(x) will be vertically compressed by a factor of 3 compared to f(x). Basically g(x) will be "squished" on a vertical scale when you compare it to f(x).
