If 4  is added to twice a number 

2x+4

and this sum is multiplied by 4 

4(2x+4)

the result is the same as 

4(2x+4) =

if the number is multiplied by -6 

-6x

and two is added to the product 

-6x+2

what is the number

4(2x+4) = -6x+2

Bet you can solve that.  

Hint: the answer is not a positive number.
