The break even point is where:
[ cost ] = [ amount of sales ]
= cost/card
= sales receipts/ card
Let = number of cards sold

12 cards must be sold to break even

It is going to cost you 1.25 for the paper per card and you paid for all the pens to make the cards which cost 15.00. How do you break even?

Cost:: 15 + 1.25x where x is the number of cards
Revenue:: 2.50x
-------------------------
Equation:
Cost = Revenue
15+1.25x = 2.50x

1.25x = 15
x = 12 ( you break even when you sell 12 cards )
