Question 1013010: Chris types at an average speed of 35 words per minute. He has already typed 1,750 words of his final paper. The paper has to be more than 3,500 words. Which inequalities could be used to solve for x, the number of minutes it will take Chris to type his paper?
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
he has already typed 1750.
he needs to type more than 3500 total.
subtract 1750 from 3500 and you get that he has to type at least 1750.
your equation will be 35x >= 1750.
x is the number of minutes.
your equation could also be 1750 + 35x >= 3500.
