Call the smaller number, x.
The larger is then x+15.
Then we have
5(x+15) - 2x = 3
Now solve this...
5x + 75 - 2x = 3
3x + 75 = 3
3x = -72
x = -24
x+15 = -9
The numbers are -24 and -9.
