Question 1008119: where do these situations meet (on a graph... where the lines meet.)
a) Jerry found a deal on iTunes that he can pay $2.99 for every song he buys
b) but Jerry also sees that Amazon as another deal.... he can pay a fee of $35 dollars per month the cost of each song he buys would be $0.99
how do you get where these two lines meet? what equations were used for a and b ?
Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Call x the number of songs purchased...we want to know the value for x such that
2.99x = 35 + .99x
2x = 35
x = 17.5 songs
Since you cannot buy half a song, the second plan is more expensive unless you buy 18 or more songs...
