Question 1003213: A tire on a car has an outside diameter of 37.0837.08 in.
Through what angle (in radians) does the tire turn while traveling
1 mile?

Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the diameter is 37.08 in, the circumference is two pi times that or
232.86 inches
One mile is 12x5280 = 63360 inches
Divide 63360 by 232.86 to get the number of revolutions, then multiply by 2pi radians and get
63360/232.86 = 272.1 revs = 1708.8 radians
