Question 104602: I am having a problem finding a line that goes through (4,6)(5,8)
I am using y2-y2 over x2-x1
8-6= 2
5-4= 1
Then y=mx+b
y-5= 5(x+b) I get lost from here unless I am missing something. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks in advnace.

Question 104886: Write a system of two equations in two unknowns for each problem. Solve each system by substitution.
Tickets for a concert were sold to adults for $3 and to students for $2. If the total receipts were $824 and twice as many adult tickets as student tickets were sold, then how many of each were sold?
I'm struggling with how to set this problem up and solve it. Is it somthing like: 3a>2=824?

Question 104903: Using 7 coins to purchase an ice cream for $.85, what combination of quarters,nickles & dimes would you need equalling $.85 Use each coin at least once.
I know the answer is 2 quarters, 2 dimes & 3 nickles by breaking it down to
$.25 + $.10 + $.05= $.40, leaving 4 coins to equal $.45. What is the equation for a problems 3 unknowns? And how do I go about solving without just knowing?
