Question 81885: respected teacher,
i have a big problem.
we have not learned this yet in the class.
the question is: find four values of(x,y)which satisfy each of the following equations.
1)2x +y = 7
2)x - y = 3
3)x = -y
4)x = y
5)x + y = 11
6)y - 5 = x
i didnt understand whether we have to take every single equation in consideration or only one at a time.
i tried it by taking one in the consideration.
and for the first one got the answer:
2x +y = 7
y = 7-2x
so if we substitute x=3
then, y = 7-2*3
y = 7-6
y = 1
thus if x = 3,then y = 1
and likewise we can get other co-ordinates by substituting x
ps:and if this way is correct for solving this question,dont solve the other sums.just tell me it is correct
thanking you in anticipation,
your student.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
your technique is correct ... also your assumption of one equation at a time
