Question 29876: how Do I solve this system linear equations using graphing method?
y=4x-6
3y=7-3x

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+y=4x-6+ solved already
+3y=7-3x+ re-write in y=mx+b format
+3y=-3x%2B7+ devide each part by 3
+y=-1x+%2B+7%2F3+
these two are now graphable
look back at the y=mx+b format.
m = slope
b = y-intercept
+y=4x-6+ starting at the origin ... go DOWN 6 and plot that point. from there go up 4 and to the right 1. plot that point.

Draw this line out in both directions so that it goes out for a bit.
+y=-1x+%2B+7%2F3+ sstart at the origin ... go up 7/3 or 2 and 1/3 plot this point. from here go down one and to the right one.

Draw this line out so that it crosses the first. The point at which they cross is the solution.
