You can put this solution on YOUR website!
%282%2F3%29%28x-4%29=3%28x%2B6%29 multiply both sides by 3
2%28x-4%29=9%28x%2B6%29 get rid of parens
2x-8=9x%2B54 subtract 9x from and add 8 to both sides of the eq
2x-9x-8%2B8=9x-9x%2B54%2B8 collect like terms
-7x=62 divide both sides by -7
x=-62%2F7=-8.857
