Question 129871: Please help me solove this problem:
2X-1/3y=8
3X-1/2y=6
I'm not sure how to start this, do I need to get a common multiple to remove the fraction or can I use the substitution method? Or am I on the right tract if I do the following
3(2x-1/3y=8)
2(3x-1/2y=6)
6x-y=24
6x-y=12
-(6x-y=24)
6X-y=12
