SOLUTION: "If 2/3 of a number is added to the number, the result is 110. Find the numbers" My solution: 2/3 = 67% 110 x 67% = 73.7 110 - 73.7 = 36.3 or 110 / 3 = 36.67 There

Question 165424: "If 2/3 of a number is added to the number, the result is 110. Find the numbers"
My solution:
2/3 = 67%
110 x 67% = 73.7
110 - 73.7 = 36.3
or
110 / 3 = 36.67
Therefore 2/3 would be 73.34 + 36. 67 = 110
Would both be correct, or neither?
Thank you very much in advance. The tutors are very much appreciated for their time and knowledge!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/3x +x=110 where x is the given number. remember how its stated two thirds of a number(x) which would be 2/3x is added to itself (x), that is how I arrived at the equation. Then it is a simple matter of solving for x. so (5/3)x=110 so 5x=330 and x=66
hope that helps!!!!!
