What is the ordered pair for x+y=160 and x=4y+30?
-----------------------------------------------------

You are lucky!  You just have  x  expressed via  y:  x=4y+30.

Now substitute it into the first equation.  In this way you will exclude  x  and will obtain a single equation for  y  only:

(4y+30) + y = 160.

Simplify and solve it:

5y = 130,

y = = 26.

Now substitute the found value of  y  into the second equation of the original system to get  x:

x = 4*26 + 30 = 104 + 30 = 134.

Answer.  x = 134,  y = 26.
