Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x/2+x/4=5
---------
When you have an equation with denominators get rid of them.
Multiply thru by 4 to get:
2x+x=20
3x=20
x = 20/3 = 6 2/3
