Question 963581: A piggy bank contains pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Pennies weigh 2.5 grams each, nickels weigh 5.0 grams each, dimes weigh 2.3 grams each and quarters weigh 5.7 grams each. The piggy bank contains a total of 222 coins with a total weight of 714.6 grams and a total value of $14.61. Also, there are twice as many nickels as there are quarters. How many coins of each type are there?
We are allowed to use the matrix system on TI-84. My main prob is how to write an equation to show that "there are twice as many nickels as there are quarters."
