You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y+=+-x+%2B5
y+=+2x+-+4
One way to solve it is to use substitution. Set the 2 y's equal to each other.
-x%2B5=2x-4
-x%2Bx%2B5=x%2B2x-4
5=3x-4
5%2B4=3x-4%2B4
9=3x
9%2F3=3x%2F3
3=x
Now let x=3 in one of the equations and solve for y:
y=-3%2B5
y=2
The solution, (x,y)=(3,2)
Happy Calculating!!!
