Question 919084: find the area of triangle formed by the line 3x+5y=15, x-y =5 and the y axis

Answer by ewatrrr(24785)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y =( -3/5)x +5 and y = x-5
(-3/5)x + 5 = x-5
-3x + 25 = 5x - 25
50 = 8x
50/8 = x and y = 10/8
P(50/8, 40/8)
A = (1/2)10(50/8) = 250/8 = 31.25 units^2
