Question 899020: Use your calculator and the zero application to approximate the solution to
7x-3=0
I don't want the answer, just the steps in how to do this.

Thanks, in advance

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve the following system by elimination
4x-y=3
2x+3y=19
------
Note: you solved by substitution.
------------
Your Problem::
4x - y = 3
4x + 6y = 38
---------------
Subtract and solve for "y":
7y = 35
y = 5
-------
Now you can substitute to solve for "x"::
4x - y = 3
4x - 5 = 3
4x = 8
x = 2
-----
Answer:: (2,5)
