Question 874518: Hello there, I was hoping someone could help me work through the steps on this one.
I know the slope = -1/3 and the y intercept = 3 but I am just not sure how to get there. I think I'm missing something.
The problem is:
Find the slope and the y-intercept of the line x+3y=9
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Convert to slope intercept form, y=mx%2Bb
x%2B3y=9
3y=-x%2B9
y=-%281%2F3%29x%2B3
Slope : m=-1%2F3
Y-intercept : b=3
