Kevin has half of his investments in a stock paying an 8%dividend and the other half in a stock paying 11%. if his total annual interest is $570,how much does he have invested?
answer: how much money in each account and what is the total amount invested.
:
let x = amt invested in each account
then
2x = total amt invested in the two accounts
:
.08x + .11x = 570
.19x = 570
